Faye Harris, age 94, of Miles City formerly of Forsyth passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings leaving behind family and many friends.

Faye was born on November 16, 1926, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Susan (Burton) McGill. She attended elementary school in Wyoming and graduated from Broadus, Montana in 1944 where she was known as the girl with the southern accent. On December 25, 1946, Faye married Charlie Harris in Powderville, Montana. They lived on the ranch in Powderville until 1952 before moving to Forsyth where they owned and operated the Texaco Bulk Plant. After Charlie passed away July 21, 2001, Faye lived in Forsyth until she moved to Miles City on February 10, 2012, to live next door to her son.

She was a past president and past Dist. #6 President and life member of the Muri-Chatham #1849 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a life member of the Drove of Does (Elks), American Legion Auxiliary, Bethlehem Chapter #27 O.E.S., and Forsyth Young Men’s Club. She also served many funeral dinners for local organizations. She was a member of the Federated Presbyterian Church in Forsyth.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents Earl and Susie McGill and brother Larry McGill.

Faye is survived by a son, Charles “Rick” Harris and his wife Beverly of Miles City, MT; two grandchildren: Cassandra Harris of Windsor, Colorado and Michael Harris of Belgrade, Montana; one great granddaughter Lexi of Belgrade, Montana. She is also survived by her brother Jerry McGill and his wife Debbie of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Forsyth Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
